A Note from the School Nurse • Safe rooms: NO FOOD CONTAINING PEANUTS OR NUTS IN OUR CLASSROOMS FOR SNACKS OR PARTIES. • Can have peanut butter in cafeteria – there is a peanut free table • We are a latex-free school
If your child is absent… • Email the office (Directions on Goodnoe home page) • Email me of absence • Send a note in with your child on their first day back • If your child is absent for multiple days, you may call the office and arrange to pick up the work • Email me to send the work home with a student who lives nearby or a sibling • Work cannot be given out before it is taught (before vacations) • Overall - do not worry!
Report Cards • November 19th, 20th, 21st Conference in lieu of 1st Report Card – Sign up via email soon! • 2nd MP - February Report Cards available on HAC • 3rd MP - April Report Cards available on HAC • June Report Cards Distributed on last day of school
Homework • Check the Take Home Folder nightly • Check homework to make sure it has been completed neatly and carefully in pencil • One homework page per week – please keep this in your child’s folder • 10 Minute Policy
Homework • Math homework • Have your child read nightly and log book or chapter • Weekly Journal: can be returned Tues., Wed., or Thurs. each week *at least 3 sentences: -beginning -middle -end • Week long assignments at times
Birthday Celebrations Options • Bring a book from home • Donate a book to the classroom • Pick a book from the class library • The books are read by the teacher • No treats
Volunteering • Please fill out volunteer sheet if interested • Must have all clearances • Mostly needed for parties, field trips, and events
