  7. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3 The world says differently..

  8. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit Poor – Be without and know it Poor in spirit Be in need and realize it Humble opinion of oneself Aware that we are sinners “Blessed are the ones who know that spiritually they are paupers, for heaven’s kingdom is theirs”

  9. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit Pride involved in fall of Man – Gen.3 Thought he knew what was best Humility to return to God Humble our self spiritually “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.” 1 Cor. 3:18

  10. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” Jas. 4:10 The less you know, the more you think you know. The more you know, the less you think you know.

  11. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” Jer.10:23 A humble man is teachable. “Thou art the potter, I am the clay”

  15. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven What about the Proud ? Cursed - Not Blessed Theirs is not the kingdom Woes to the self-righteous “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18 Matthew 23 “Woe unto you”
