  3. Data Collection • Time Period: 1996 to 2012 • Retrospective review of 160 documents • Score and plot IMPEP findings • Identify internal and external influences

  4. Data Analysis • IMPEP scores for all programs • IMPEP scores for each indicator • IMPEP scores for each program • Anecdotal review of each program

  5. Observations • Sustaining performance • Enhanced oversight • Staffing and budgets • Program size and age • Program turnover

  6. Next Steps • Identify factors that have a positive correlations to program performance • Determine actions the NRC can take to improve program performance • Explore opportunities for improvement of the IMPEP process • Obtain Agreement State input
