“Hosanna, Me Build a House”, • Each student is given a copy of the music • Teacher will model the first two lines • Students will site read the rhythmic pattern of the song using ta’s and ti-ti’s
“Hosanna, Me Build a House” • Before listening to the song, students will be instructed to listen to what forces “bring the house down” • LISTEN • Starting pitch • Students sing the song as a group
Relating the song to Science • Discuss elements of the song: • Sandy vs. Solid ground • Rain, sun, breeze/wind, storm • How strong are these forces? • What is it called when weather affects a structure? • Is anything else affected besides houses?
