    3. 3 Qwest Control® Overview Managing communications services involves supervising a large number of volatile factors. As an enterprise adds communications services and features, the need for centralized visibility and control of billing, statistics and service status becomes more critical. To keep a handle on an increasingly complex picture, it is vital to have: Immediate access information. The ability to act on that information, managing repair, service configuration, network utilization and user access. Keep on top of accounting and billing.

    5. 5 Qwest Control Benefits Qwest Control® is a free service that helps simplify the management of communications services by providing the tools necessary to access and control enterprise communications services – online, on-demand, in one location. Access vital information: Billing, inventories, statistics, status. Manage communications services online: Repair, configuration changes, user access. Obtain centralized and simplified billing: View, pay and reporting for both local and national services. Qwest Control makes it exceedingly easy to manage all your business communications functions with Qwest.     6. 6 Qwest Control Features eBilling Manager: Centralized billing information across your Qwest® service offerings. View current and historical invoices. Pay bills online: all accounts in one transaction. Generate summary reports. Set invoice and payment options. Repair Manager: Create and track status of trouble tickets. Inventory Manager: View all inventory components. Statistics Manager: Analyze historical and real-time network statistics and create detailed reports. Order Manager: Make changes to services or network configuration. Status Manager: Stay informed of network status and performance. Administration Manager: Create and manage profiles for enterprise users.

    7. 7 Qwest Control® Inventory Manager Toll-free numbers: Call plan configuration details. Make routing changes directly. Qwest iQ Networking® port: Circuit details. Manage quality of service (QoS). National Frame Relay/ATM ports and virtual circuits (VCs): Port and VC detail including port speeds, committed information ranges (CIRs) and data link connection identifier (DLCI) information. Manage your proactive notification contacts. Remote Access and Qwest Managed VPN Gateway List of all user and realm details. Add, modify and delete remote access users. PRN locations and networks: View location port speed and details. View enhanced policies including firewall, network address translation (NAT) and class of service (CoS). Dedicated Hosting access circuits. Managed firewalls: Firewall policy details. Control user access to each individual firewall. Wholesale Dial: Access numbers and reporting. Long distance: Switched long-distance account details. Local service; Customer service records. Ordering and change requests of 1FBs for existing locations.

    8. 8 The statistics manager is available for: Toll Free: Traffic and trunk usage reports for toll-free and ring-to numbers. 40 days of summary data and eight days of call detail records. Internet Port and Hosting: Utilization, performance and billing reports: 90-day history. National ATM and Frame Relay: Utilization, performance and service level agreement (SLA)reports for ports and VCs: 90-day history. Private Routed Network; Utilization reports: 90-day history. Managed Firewall: Usage and log reports. Remote Access and Qwest® Managed VPN Gateway: Usage information.

    9. 9 The Qwest Control® trouble manager enables you to: View a summarized list of all open trouble tickets (both those opened in Qwest Control or through customer care) as well as those that have been closed in the last 90 days. Create trouble tickets online for Internet Port, National ATM, National Frame Relay, Hosting, Managed Firewall VPN, Private Routed Network (PRN) and Toll Free. Add repair notes to all open trouble tickets whether the ticket was opened in Qwest Control or not. View external repair notes entered by the network operations center (NOC) or help desk handling the repair ticket.

    10. 10 The Qwest Control® status manager provides you: Real-time alarm information for your network elements. Alarm history of 90 days. Network map as a quick visual reference to network status. The status manager is available for: National Frame Relay. National ATM. Internet Port. Qwest Control Status Manager

    11. 11 The administration manager is the command center for your enterprise. With administration manager your company’s system administrator can: Add new and manage current users of Qwest Control®. Control what permissions each user has… For example, you may only want some of your employees to be able to reroute your toll-free networks. For eBilling, assign which billing accounts a user can access. Using the administration manager you can assign the right level of access for as many users as necessary to keep your network running smoothly. Qwest Control Administration Manager
