Background • 1076.1.1 PAR requested in March 2002 • PAR approved in May 2002 • Initial ad hoc formation Summer 2001 • Kickoff discussions FDL 2001 and BMAS 2001 • WG meetings held at DAC, FDL, DATE • Completed compilation of VHDL packages from WG contributors • Completed initial ballot in Feb. 2004 (reported at DATE 2004)

  3. Progress • Performed two recirculations in October 2004to resolve the negative votes • Documentation has been submitted to Dave Ringle and Andy Ickowicz at IEEE • We are on the RevCom agenda for December • We should have a standard

  4. Summary from P176.1.1/D3/R2 • 38 in ballot group • 30 responded (78%) • 28 positive/2 abstentions (100% affirmative)
