1. We are sowing, daily sowing Countless seeds of good and ill, Scattered on the level lowland, Cast upon the windy hill; Seeds that sink in rich, brown furrows, Soft with heaven's gracious rain; Seeds that rest upon the surface Of the dry, unyielding plain; 2. Seeds that fall amid the stillness Of the lonely mountain glen; Seeds cast out in crowded places, Trodden under foot of men; Seeds by idle hearts forgotten, Flung at random on the air; Seeds by faithful souls remembered, Sown in tears and love and prayer; 3. Seeds that lie unchanged, unquickened, Lifeless on the teeming mold; Seeds that live and grow and flourish When the sower's hand is cold. By a whisper sow we blessings; By a breath we scatter strife. In our words and thoughts and actions Lie the seeds of death and life. 4. Thou who knowest all our weakness, Leave us not to sow alone! Bid thine angels guard the furrows Where the precious grain is sown, Till the fields are crown'd with glory, Filled with mellow, ripened ears, Filled with fruit of life eternal From the seed we sowed in tears. Text: Anon., Pure Diamonds, Cleveland, 1872 Music: Henry A. Tuckett, 1852-1918

Spiritual Thought/Scripture Mastery 28 O that cunning aplan of the evil one! O the bvainness, and the frailties, and thecfoolishness of men! When they are dlearned they think they are ewise, and they fhearken not unto the gcounsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their hwisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish. 29 But to be alearned is good if they bhearken unto the ccounsels of God.
Spiritual Thought/Scripture Mastery 2 Nephi 2:27 27 Wherefore, men are afree according to the bflesh; and call things are dgiven them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to echoosefliberty and eternal glife, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be hmiserable like unto himself.
Introduction2 Nephi 25 Continuing to emphasize the importance of Isaiah’s prophecies, Nephi explained that anyone who has the spirit of prophecy can come to understand and appreciate Isaiah’s words. He shared the purpose of his writing: “to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God” (2 Nephi 25:23). He invited all to believe in Jesus Christ and to “worship him with all [their] might, mind, and strength, and [their] whole soul[s]” (2 Nephi 25:29). Read: 2 Nephi 25
