  4. Untuk memudahkan pelajar memahami tajuk penambahan dan penolakkan integer, bayangkan simbol “+” sebagai wang milik anda manakala simbol “-” sebagai hutang anda. -5 bererti anda berhutang RM 5 +5 bererti anda mempunyai RM 5 Ng Tat Fook Guru Cemerlang Matematik SMKDMPR(1)

  5. Jika tidak terdapat sebarang simbol di hadapan sesuatu nombor, maknanya, nombor itu ialah suatu nombor positif. Kalau tiada simbol, maknanya, “+” Ng Tat Fook Guru Cemerlang Matematik SMKDMPR(1)

  8. Contoh 3 Anda berhutang RM 10 Anda berhutang RM 6 Jumlah hutang anda ialah RM 16 Anda berhutang dua kali. Kali pertama anda berhutang RM 6. Kemudian anda berhutang lagi RM 10 dan anda tiada wang untuk membayar hutang anda. Sekarang jumlah hutang anda ialah RM 16 Ng Tat Fook Guru Cemerlang Matematik SMKDMPR(1)
