  1. Hoy es viernes el 15 de abril Using “gustar” To Talk About Things You Like. Language Objective: Students will take notes and complete activities on p.300 Content Objective: Students will learn how to use the verb gustar when talking about activities that people like to do.

  2. Remember how to express what activities people like to do? You use the phrases with an infinitive. me gusta… nos gusta… te gusta… os gusta… le gusta… les gusta… Ex. Me gusta bailar. I like to dance. Infinitive

  3. When you want to talk about things that people like, change the form of gustar to match the singular or plural nouns for those things. • Ex. Me gusta el libro. (I like the book) Me gustan los libros. (I like the books)

  4. Singular me gusta la idea nos gusta la idea te gusta la idea os gusta la idea le gusta la idea les gusta la idea

  5. Notice that the form of gustar matches the noun, not the speaker. Ex. ¡Me gusta mucho tu idea para el concurso! Me gustan las enchiladas. Note:

  6. Plural me gustan las personas nos gustan las personas te gustan las personas os gustan las personas le gustan las personas les gustan las personas

  7. Repaso • Me (gusta/gustan) los deportes. Me gustan los deportes. • A él le (gusta/gustan) el chocolate. A él le gusta el chocolate. • ¿Te (gusta/gustan) la música? ¿Te gusta la música? • Nos (gusta/gustan) las tiendas de ropa. Nos gustan las tiendas de ropa. • Les (gusta/gustan) el helado. Les gusta el helado.

  10. A nosotros Nos gustan los tacos.

  11. A ellos Les gusta el pan dulce.
