Mission and Goals Mission: The Freshman Academy will facilitate and support all students’ efforts and provide them with the skill sets necessary to make a successful transition from middle school to graduation. Academy Goals: #1 Increase End of Course Test pass rates by 5% annually. #2 Increase the number of students who successfully complete the requirements for promotion to 10th grade to 90%. #3 Increase the number of students who have fewer than 10 absences by 10%. #5 Increase the number of freshman graduating in 4 years by 5% annually.

Early College Courses Courses offered: Psychology, Sociology and CPT ( college computer course ) All three count as magnet courses in all three focus areas Receive 1 Carnegie unit and 3 college semester hours for each course. Reduced tuition - currently at $120.00 per course, FARM receive free tuition

College Admission Requirements In addition to the Graduation requirements: Math: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and a 4th higher level math Science: 3 lab Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a combination of 2). Physical Science is not a lab science Foreign Language: 2 years of same language Fine Arts: Appreciation, History , or Performance

Unit Requirements for Grade Advancement Grade 9 Successful completion of eighth grade Grade 10 5 units (must include English 1, one unit of mathematics and three other units) Grade 11 11 units (must include English 1 and 2, two units of mathematics, one science, and six other units) Grade 12 17 units (must include English 1, 2, and 3, three units of mathematics, two units of science, and nine other units)
