  2. About Mrs. Adair… • True Floridian, born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale • I have lived in Palm Coast for 6 years • This is my 12thyear teaching. • I have 1 son: Ryan who is 9 months old • I love working with students!

  3. Schedule of the Day • 9:00-9:10 Homeroom • 9:10-9:50-Special Area/ Science or S. Studies • 9:50-10:35 PE • 10:35-11:40 Writing • 11:40-12:10 Lunch • 12:10-1:15 Math • 1:15- 2:45 Reading • 2:45- 3:10 snack/ pack/ read aloud • 3:10 Dismissal starts

Homework • Homework is given every night Monday through Thursday • Reading Read every night a book of choice spelling, vocab and skill homework on a rotation • Math- daily homework on the lesson taught, practice multiplication tables nightly • Social Studies & Science- given on an as needed basis • The homework is posted on the board. They should be writing their homework down in their planner.

  5. Homework Procedures • PLANNERS: It is important to check in with your child at home to ensure they are doing their work to their best ability & completing their homework. • I do NOT require planners to be signed every night. It is the student’s responsibility to let me know if you have written me a note in the planner.

  6. Discipline • Verbal warning • Name on the board • Refocus form- contact home Automatic Refocus forms- for no excuse offenses- Disruptive/Disrespect, inappropriate language or physical contact ,and bullying. Referrals- 4th refocus form in one marking period

  7. Writing- • Narrative (Story) & Expository (to explain) • Rubric Scoring- 1-6 (Goal:4 or higher) • We practice, practice, practice every day!
