Project Directions • Create a buddy list of 5 people and a screen name for each person. • You will choose your 5 people from the list provided • Each screen name should be less than 15 letters • The screen name MUST reflect on the person in history’s accomplishment • USPres1 = George Washington • Create an icon for each screen name. You may use clipart or draw your own! (This step is optional!) • Choose two people from your buddy list to have an “instant-message” conversation. The conversation is to be about important historical events and include each person’s historical perspective. Pretend that you are both individuals typing the instant-message conversation. • This project will be due Friday, May 20 by 11:00 PM.

  4. Next… After you have chosen your 4 “buddies” begin creating screen names. Keep in mind: the screen name MUST reflect an accomplishment of the historical figure. You must include the historical person next to your screen name as shown below. • USPres1 = George Washington

Finally… • Pick two historical people. • Transcribe a conversation between these two people as if they are speaking through “Instant-Messenger”. • You must include the screen name of the person speaking. • Each person must say at least 5 lines! This is a total of 10 lines of speaking. You MAY have more lines. • All conversations MUST BE CORRECT FACTS AND ACCURATE! • You will submit all of your work as a Microsoft Word Document to Schoology. • This project is due Friday, May 20 by 11:00 PM!

  10. Sacagawea- lewisclarktrip- Sacagawea helped Lewis & Clark when they were sent to the Western part of America. She acted as a translator.

Lewisclarktrip: It was nice, I mean it was hard to carry my son around all the time, but I had fun on the adventure. 50statequeen: Cool. Lewisclarktrip: So what did you do and how is the weather in Hawaii? 50statequeen: I ruled as the queen of Hawaii and the weather is mostly good, although there are volcanoes. I was the last queen because I decided to give Hawaii to the United States. Tell me about you. Lewisclarktrip: I am Sacagawea and my husband was the real explorer. I went along and translated for Lewis and Clark. My son had to travel with us and he was only a baby. 50statequeen: Cool, your life sounds exciting or dangerous. Lewisclarktrip: Yes, but it was quite enjoyable. Your life sounds fun, as a queen. 50statequeen: Mostly, although there is a lot of pressure. Lewisclarktrip: I am glad I could meet… I mean I.M. you. 50statequeen: And as well as you. Meet me on here later.

They took one of my best horses. I had to walk home! TR Rough3 says: At San Juan Hill the Rough Riders were brave men. We had excellent horses to go into battle with.
