Paintings by Jacob Fraden Jacob Fraden was born in Sverdlovsk (presently Ekaterinburg), a Russian industrial city. Since 1977, he has lived in the U.S.A. He is a professional inventor and scientist. His “Handbook of Modern Sensors” became a popular textbook at many universities worldwide. Among his over 50 inventions are several well known products: The Thermoscan ear thermometer, motion controlled light switch, and home blood pressure monitor. He also is the author of a book of short stories “Adventures of an Inventor”. Jacob began painting at the age of 6 in watercolor (the only paint that was readily available in the Soviet Union) and now he works mostly with oil and acrylic. Jacob’s artistic style may be considered as a continuation of his inventive work. More of Fraden paintings can be viewed on www.fraden.com
