What Now? Major focus on our TAGG group. Particularly Students with disabilities. Includes students receiving speech therapy. Providing early intervention and remediation. Ensure rigorous curriculum. 94% Prof/Adv meets AMO
Has kept special education referrals low • Several students on special-ed track have had interventions and brought to grade level • Also helped some students get special-ed services when they would not otherwise qualify Response to Intervention (RTI)
Assessment Wall Common Assessments Every 9 weeks. Data analyzed afterward.
Other Factors Affecting AMO Performance Pottsville Elementary tests a different cohort of students each year. Difficult to compare students (scores could go up or down) High scores are an indication of instruction and curriculum. PES does not qualify for growth performance.
Other Factors Affecting AMO Performance Teaching CCSS but testing on Arkansas Frameworks in 2012-2013. 2013-2014: supposed to pilot new CCSS Assessment, but may continue with Frameworks.
