  2. DepEd requested the field offices to validate the data on filled and unfilled positions as contained in DBM’s GMIS • Of the 17 Regional Offices, only 8 ROs have submitted: I, IV-A, IV-B, V, VIII, XII, CARAGA, CAR

Findings on Unfilled Positions (DepEd vs. DBM data) • Based on submitted reports from 8 regions, there is a discrepancy of 30 % between DepEd and DBM data on Principal items except in IV-B where data from both agencies match. • For Teacher items, the discrepancy is 8 %. Again only the data from both agencies of Region IV-B match.

NEXT STEPS • Joint DepEd-DBM workshop on Reconciliation and Cleaning up of PSI-POP data initially for Luzon group to be held on Nov. 27- 28, 2008 at DAP • Complete filling up all newly created Teacher and Principal items for 2008. • Batch 1 – 6,386 Teacher I and 532 SPED Teacher items 2,100 Principal items and 750 Head Teacher • Batch 2 – 137 Teacher I items • Batch 3 - 379 Teacher I items • Submit report on profile and assignment of teachers and principals/HT hired under 1st batch of items created for 2008
