  2. Animals • The Deciduous have: • Deer • Bears • Bobcats • Squirrels • Bald Eagles • Eastern Chipmunks

  3. Plants • The Deciduous Forests have many plants such as American Beech, Carpet Moss, Common Lime, and Lady Fern. American Beech

  4. Regions • Deciduous Forests are located in the Eastern half of the United States, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China, and Japan.

  5. Description • The Deciduous Forest has some hot summers and very cold winters. • They also have rainy areas, and they have trees that lose their leaves in Fall, and regrow them in the Spring. • The growing season in these forests is about 6 months long.

  6. Conclusion • Although people are trying to protect the forest some people are trying to kill the animals in the forest. The animals are losing their homes because of people building their homes on their property.
