  3. Why Flexible Seating? This theory allows for: • A student’s ownership of their learning space • A bridge to their personal learning styles • An optimum environment with a goal of productive work results • Our goal is to meet the kids’ needs and also allow them the responsibility and flexibility to choose where they will learn best for the day.

  15. Weekly Newsletter Every Friday you will be updated on what is happening in class, upcoming events/activities/projects, and things to know. This is a way for us to stay connected on a weekly basis.

  18. Student Success • Are you interested? Try the following: • Look over their EAGLE folder everyday. • Go over the completed homework before turning it in, especially Math Packets • Go over mistakes on graded papers sent home. • Review trouble spots. Look ahead. • Read the weekly newsletters to keep updated. • READ WITH CHILD DAILY

  19. “If students are not read to, if day after day the only reading they hear is the drone of fellow members in the “turtle” reading group, they are certain to finish the year sounding like a “turtle.” We need to balance the scales and let children know that there is more to reading than worksheets…The child who is unaware of the riches of literature certainly can have no desire for them.
