What is your understanding of the Church? • The Church is a religious association/organization exclusive to Christianity.
Why is the Church a community of believers? • The Church is a community of believers because they share the same beliefs and fundamentals (system of thoughts) in the same God.
What makes the Church different from any other communities? • There are multiple requirements such as: -Acceptance of God -Baptism -Communion *People of other races, classes or backgrounds are tolerated by the Church*
What do "Qahal" and "Ekklesia" mean? What is the relevance of these words to the Church? • Ekklesia/Ecclesia-Latin/Greek translation for Church(New Testament), congregation or assembly. In the New Testament the term Ekklesia is used for local communities and in a universal sense to mean all believers. • Qahal-Hebrew translation for multitude, company, congregation or assembly. Very similar to Ekklesia.
