Overlay Feature for Business Connectivity • BroadWorks supports the ability to drive network-based “features” to individual DIDs: • Works with business lines connected to phones, and business trunks and SIP trunks when the phones have DIDs • Works for Virtual DIDs when end customer has Key System or does not have DIDs on a PBX • BroadWorks also supports the ability to provide “group” features to an enterprise as a whole • Examples include: Conferencing, Site-level Rerouting, Bursting • Carriers typically take these features and build “add-on” services for their integrated access offerings

Overlay Feature: Business Continuity • Business Continuity is comprised of the following functionality: • Incoming call routing (Call Forwarding Always, Call Forwarding Unreachable, etc.) • Other functions such as Sim Ring, Remote Office, etc that promotes work outside of the office • BroadWorks support many different types of call forwarding – generally broken down into two categories • User-Level – Individual users (DIDs) have control over how incoming calls are forwarded • Site-Level – A site administrator has control over how all incoming calls to a site (SME) are forwarded • Business Continuity Call Forwarding Types Supported • Call Forwarding Always (Pilot # and DIDs) • Call Forwarding No Answer (Pilot # and DIDs) • Call Forwarding Unreachable (Pilot # and DIDs) • Call Forwarding Unreachable (Trunk Group)
