Provides air, land, and sea transportation for the Department of Defense, both in time of peace and time of war.
Training included an introduction to CRADAs, PLAs, TSAs & EPAs
Discussed the relationship between technology transfer and technology transition (important to COCOMS) Technology Transition can be considered as the advancement of a technology from a lower TRL to a higher TRL—regardless of the source of the technology—with the ultimate goal of fielding and sustaining a new or improved technology for military use.

Conclusions to Date • The ORTA function can be valuable to COCOMS and other parts of DoD that previously did not possess such a function • Creation of an ORTA at these organizations must be tailored to missions and resources that differ from traditional laboratories • Technology to satisfy military requirements is the top priority for these new ORTAs
