  2. Present Perfect Vs Perfect Progressive With some verbs like live, work, teach and study, there is no difference in use between the present perfect and the present perfect progressive. Use both to describe an action that started in the past and continues to now. The two tenses, present perfect and present progressive differ with all other verbs.   3. Perfect Progressive: 1.Recent Actions Use Present Perfect Progressive to explain a situation that is related to a recent activity. Example: a. My hands are green because I have been painting my room. b. His eyes are red because he has been sleeping. c.
