October 2004 VCCS SIS V8 Upgrade Project - Working with PeopleSoft PeopleSoft eBusiness Architecture Assessment On-site review and assessment completed August 16 26 for Version 7.6 and Version 8 Recommendations incorporated into Technology Architecture plan PeopleSoft Upgrade Lab assessment and upgrade preparation Completed August 23 September 24 Reports and analysis reviewed by ITS staff Clean-up steps taken PeopleSoft Project planning Completed September 20 24 Upgrade project plan based on PeopleSoft COMPASS methodology published on September 30 Project charter being revised based on planning workshop PeopleSoft certified Version 8 Demo install Completed September 27 - 30 Hands-on training and knowledge transfer to ITS staff PeopleSoft Upgrade Lab on-site install October 12 through November 5th Hands-on training and knowledge transfer to ITS staff PeopleSoft Independent Validation and Verification October 11 through 22 Complete the IV&V reviews on planning and project charter, fit/gap functional requirements and specifications, and Design
