Desired Outcomes/Goals • To gain working knowledge of a fully functional Learning Resources Center • To apply knowledge gained from project as an impetus to began the transformation process from a media center to a learning resources center • To establish mission, goals and objectives of a learning resources center

  4. Accomplished Goals • Established mission statement The mission of James H. White Library’s Learning Resources Center is to provide a media repository and support facility that will house media materials and technology which are consistent with the goals of the Library. The repository collection will include print materials, media materials and equipment which support the academic curriculum offered by the various departments of Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU).

Accomplished Goals • Established goals and objectives STATED GOALS & OBJECTIVES: • To provide a University curriculum centered, organized and accessible collection of selected print and non-print materials as well as media equipment which support the general needs of faculty and students • To maintain an intellectually stimulating environment which facilitates the use of media materials and equipment conducive for preparation of academic assignments by individual students as well as group collaborations • To be aware of and facilitate the changing technological needs of faculty and students • To work cooperatively with the Library and MVSU’s College of Education to maximize teacher education resources and services to the College of Education faculty, staff and students
