Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership • REEEP is an international public‑private partnership that was established at the 2002 Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development to expand the global market for renewable energy and energy efficiency • 170 partners - 30 governments, multinational organisations, businesses and NGOs • REEEP is currently funded by various governments including Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, EU, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, US, and UK
REEEP Objectives“Generate green kilowatts & save energy” REEEP aims to work as an enabler, multiplier and catalyser of institutional change, and to have a real impact over the next decade with the following objectives: • Significant global increase of investments in renewable energy • Significant global increase of energy efficiency measures • Significant increase in access to sustainable energy services for the poor

Role of the Regional Secretariat • Work with local NGOs, governments and financing institutions to Act as a clearing house of RE/EE information • Facilitate dialogue and manage discussions among regional players • Provide access to technical expertise • Convene national partners • Support technical assistance/ capacity building activities
