  2. Organization: Formation and History • The Women Association of Rural Larnaka • is a non profit organization formed in • 2004. • 450 Members from 20 different villages of Rural Larnaka

  3. Goals and Objectives: • Promote entrepreneurship to its members • To organize and promote activities that have to do with the promotion of local traditional products. • To participate in European programs, community initiatives and programs that promote equality of opportunity in both sexes • To participate in companies that promote the development and the purposes of the Association • Volunteering

  4. Activities: • Lectures • Training • Workshops • Festivals and culural events

  5. Yearly Events • Festival of Tradition and Culture • Date: • 1st of October/annually Place: • different village every year

  6. Scope of the event: To promote traditional products e.g.: food, handicrafts, traditional occupations, Agrotourism in general
