The Baltic States • Countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania • Inflation: average 10% in 2008 • The market has been extremely good but we expect a small slow down • Population: total for all three countries, 7,4 milj. • Our performance: -20% compare to 2006 • Why?? • No container sales this year • Our sales of PCB boards has decreased • Turbulence in the market. Decision makers, allied customers is moving around • Limited amount of loyal customers • All the competitors are present in these countries which gives price pressure • Opportunities? • We have a very good market knowledge today • We have some really good projects coming up. Riga Technical University, Hansa Bank…..
Finland • Stable economy • Finland is a strong market and we expect that it will continue even 2008 • Population in Finland, 5 milj. • Our performance: -30% compare to 2006 and we are loosing market shares. • Our partner TSP have their best year ever. With AMP/Tyco?? • Why?? • No Dual cable, delivery problems Cat6 single • Heavy competition, AMP/Tyco, Lexcom, 3M……….. • We are not able to win projects, project prices? • Our cooperation with wholesalers is low, no daily business. • Onninen acquisition of Teletekno
Sweden • Stable economy • The market has increased 2007 but we expect that 2008 will be flat. • Population in Sweden, 9 milj. • Our performance: +10% compare to 2006 • Why?? • We have very good cooperation with wholesalers • We have big problems to win projects, project prices • Opportunities? • LAN for residential projects for Telia via Elteknik/Nea • LAN for residential projects to public and private landlords via contractors • The market shows great interest for our Industry products
Targets and Opportunities 2008 • Lan for premises • Good opportunity for Nexans with Essential Cat6. • Right price and good quality is essential. • We have the right customer. Eltel, Relacom and Elteknik? • Wholesaler with loyalty • Our target is to keep our position in Sweden • We need to rebuilt good relations with one wholesaler in Finland • Loyal customers in the Baltic States • Develop sales of high end products to selected channels • Industry and LanMark7 to end-users, installers, contractors and carefully selected distributors. • Marketing • Brand awareness via exhibitions, product & sales trainings, advertising….. • Develop Connectivity sales • All activities and our target is to increase our sales of connectivity. We need to be more active in projects and motivate the sales force.
