  2. What to expect today: • Schedules- • Today is a day 1 • We will remain in TEAM until 9:15 • At 9:15 we will have our first HOUSE meeting. • Related Arts: 10:27 • Lunch/Recess: 10:52 • 5th/6th – HOUSE time • Related Arts – 1:08 • 1:52 - HOUSE time • 2:21 – All School Assembly

  3. Paperwork! • Collect paperwork from home • Hand out paperwork for those who didn’t get it at Open House

  4. 8 Things Students Want to Know • Right room? • Where to sit? • What if I can’t get into my locker? • Classroom rules? • Grading system? • What is the teacher like as a person? • Will the teacher treat me with respect?

Your agenda Planner: • Fill out your information in your planner • Look at the different sections • Must go with you everywhere except bathroom, lunch and recess • Will fill out homework in each classroom. If no homework, write None! • No homework on Fridays = GOAL • Parents must sign at bottom every day.Will be checked during TEAM. • Homework will be posted on the EPIC House Weebly

  6. Lockers: • Freshly painted, don’t they look nice and clean! • No signs on the outside. Sorry. • Locker clean out will be on Fridays of every week. • Find a system that works for you for organizing things then stick with it and keep it that way.

  7. Turning in forms and money: • Hang on to paperwork/notes and teacher will collect

  8. Attendance and tardiness • If you are going to be absent or are leaving early: • have parent write a note, then show it to me and I will send you down to the office for a pass (TEAM time) • If you are late getting to school: • Stop in the office to get a pass • Make up homework: • Each teacher will have a place in the room for extra worksheets. • It is your responsibility to take care of any missing work. • You will be expected to make up all missed work and will get 2 days to do it for each 1 day missed

  9. Bathroom and Water breaks • Depending on the teacher, you may or may not leave in the middle of class • Try to go during the time you switch classes, that’s what this time is for and to get supplies for the next class

Classroom Materials and Being Prepared for class • It is suggested that you carry all of your materials for the morning with you. • Bring all your things for 1st and 2nd periods to TEAM time. • LOCKER – before related arts • LOCKER – get outside gear and lunch • LOCKER –Bring your 5th and 6th period materials • LOCKER – before related arts • LOCKER – Bring your 8th and 9th period materials • Carry a good fit book to read at all times

Classroom supplies • Notebooks:  Math - Yellow, Science - Green, Social Studies - Blue, Reading - Red, Writing - Purple • Pencil pouch:  pens, pencils, highlighter, expo, and scissors. • *   2 inch binder for Reading include Red notebook and Blue for word work (Books I like to read and reading log) •     *   Trapper Keeper with Accordian:   we will give you a plastic sleeve for schedule and put yellow, purple and green notebooks inside.  Label Folder for math, language arts, science and social studies. •     *   Trapper Keeper without Accordian:  Please put in your planner to bring in at least one sturdy pocket folder that will be used to store your papers.  You may want to get a folder for each subject but it is NOT required. •     *   Accordian and Binder:  Label folders with math, language arts, science and social studies.  Put the yellow, purple, and green notebooks in your binder.
