  1. Lab Expectations 2009

  2. Integrity inthe Lab • Empathy for others– Promote knowledge in the lab • Show empathy and tolerance toward your partner • Have empathy for the facilitator • Be responsible with the equipment

  3. Empathy for Other Learners • Help us create a lab where all learners can pursue knowledge together. • Avoid distracting peers • Develop your own knowledge– in future engagements, you will be the experts in the lab

  4. Empathy for and Tolerance of Your Partner’s Differences • You will be most successful if you and your partner demonstrate the strength to stay focused • Your partner’s grade depends on you as well. Have the integrity to contribute your share. • Your partner may have different skills. Be tolerant of his/her weakness and work to maximize your collective strengths. • Demonstrate responsibility by attending class regularly, getting to class on time, and working while here.

  5. Empathy for the Facilitator • My goal is to help you be successful. Most of the time I will be running all over the lab helping your peers with challenging engagements. I can’t help them if I am dealing with your poor behavior choices. • Demonstrate integrity, be responsible with the equipment, seek knowledge, and we will get along fine.

  6. Have the Strength to Push Yourself • Challenge yourself with difficult engagements and demanding goals • Work to figure things out on your own • Do what you need to do to get engagements completed • Do your best work

  7. The equipment belongs to all of us Please have empathy for other users.

  8. Be responsible Clean up after yourselves. Put models and kits away how you found them (or better).

  9. Please leave wires and dials alone unless adjusting them is part of your engagement. If you must adjust dials, make sure they are left in appropriate positions when you leave the lab.

  10. Be careful with the monitors and mouse pads.
