JAPCC Conference 2008 Panel 4 “Gaining Intelligence and Information Superiority” This discussion looks at efforts to improve our shared understanding of the battlespace through, among other things, NNEC (NATO’s blueprint), systems aligned to NNEC (according to the blueprint), and the fusing of intelligence (output of the systems and processes) as a perquisite for establishing decision superiority. It looks at the information and human domains, and their interaction, with regard to NATO’s IM Policy, IM strategy, IM concepts, human-machine interface and, ultimately, “sense making,” our ability to understand our environment based onthe deluge of information.
