    3. OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM USER SOLUTIONS’ MOST POPULAR EXCELL PROGRAM. GOAL – To Provide a Flexible and Adaptable Approach to Manage Materials, Work-centers, and Labor for Most Manufacturers.

    4. OVERVIEW (contd.) INCLUDES: B.O.M. M.R.P. Finite Capacity Planning & Scheduling. Inventory. Purchasing and Receiving. Costing and More. DOES NOT INCLUDE: Accounting Applications.

    5. Program Provides a Step By Step Way to Organize a Company’s Schedules

    6. FORECAST INPUT TABLE From One Screen You Can Drive Your Complete Schedule. All your orders, when due or when to start, can be scheduled and/or rescheduled based on changing conditions at any time. In addition to quantities, you can enter a custom Job Number, Work Order Number, or Sales Order Number, etc. Import the demand schedule from outside systems & prioritize jobs.

    7. FORECAST INPUT TABLE (contd.) The Forecast Sheet is Also Ideal to Rapidly Perform a Series of “What If’s” on Various Plans, Concurrently with Reports to Analyze Impact and Feasibility of Schedules.

    8. BILL OF RESOURCES You can make direct edits to the BOR, even Reading in complete BOR structures from other systems. You can enter data, or copy-and-paste from other systems, directly into the BOR table

    9. BOR: ERROR CHECK SYSTEM Error check will check all entered components against the Products/Operations table. If the numbers don’t exist, RM will automatically prompt you to add the new products operations to the appropriate list. For copied BORs that miss key data, the error checking will even establish the logical linkages for all levels and routings in a simple click and choose format.

    10. MPS CAPABILITIES RM Helps the User By Creating Two MPS Tables, One for End Products and One for Subcomponents. End Products Table Provides the User a Way to Enter Values for Num. Required, Num. of steps, cost per unit, etc.

    11. GANTT CHART CAPABILITIES Gantt Charts Developed in RM Allows the User to Instantly Check the Due Dates of All Jobs in the Schedule, Scroll Down to Find Bottlenecks, Adjust Capacity and Schedule to Meet Critical Dates.

    12. GANTT CHARTS (contd.) By Simply Clicking Expand and Selecting a Job, RM Allows the User to Quickly View Gantt Chart Expansions/Breakdowns for Single End Product Jobs.

    13. PRODUCTION REPORTS This Report Contains Complete Information About the Job, Including Planned vs. Actual and Variances in Time and Costs

USER FRIENDLY SCHEDULING OPTIONS The User Can Tell RM to Calculate the Finish Dates Based on the User Provided Start Dates or Calculate Necessary Start Dates Based on User Provided Finish Dates (i.e. due dates) by Selecting Forward or Reversed Order. Virtually any combination of Schedules Can Co-exist in The System (i.e estimated Jobs entered as Forward, Firm Orders Entered as Reverse).

    15. ITEM REPORT The Item Report Summarizes All Requirements per Part No. Ideal for Work-Center Loading, it Lists Each Job, When to Start, When to Complete, and How Much is Required

    16. SUMMARY REPORT The Summary Report, an Instant, Top Level MRP Report for All Products, Will Tell the User What They Need to Buy or Make, How Much, and When. View Over Any Time Horizon, By Day, Week, or Month.

    17. SUMMARY REPORT GRAPH GENERATIONS RM Can Provide the User With Two Types of Useful Graphs. The Schedule Quantity for a Particular Product per Month and a Production Summary for All Products for a Particular Month.

    18. RESOURCE CALENDAR RM Helps the User to Identify Capacity Constraints By Using a Resource Calendar. Cells in the Resource Calendar Which Are “Full” (no more processing can be added for that resource on that day) Will be Formatted With the Total in Red.

    19. RESOURCE CALENDAR (contd.) RM Allows the User to Generate a Mini Report for Any Cell in the Resource Calendar By Simply Double Clicking on the Desired Cell. This Function Accesses a Simple, Quick, Form for Reviewing and Editing the Available Capacity and/or Secondary Constraint On that Day as Well as the Ability to Scroll Forward or Backward One Day at a Time.

    20. DOWNSIDE OF RM DOES NOT HELP USER TO FIND BEST (OPTIMAL) ROUTINGS, OR FIND THE BEST PRIORITY SCHEDULING SELECTION RULE (ALL MUST BE ENTERED BY USER), etc. VIA HUERISTICS OR OTHER TYPE OF OPERATIONS RESEARCH FUNCTIONS THAT ARE NECCESSARRY TO OPTIMIZE PRODUCTION AND OR SCHEDULING.
