  2. We have received 100 polished Endcaps crystals in June2000 from Bogoroditsk: • all have been tested in CERN RC • Visual Inspection, • Characterised with ACCOCe2 : 1st operation of the 2nd Accos machine in CERN RC

Considerations about Endcap crystals • After 2 years of R&D in Bogoroditsk • They have demonstrated that they can produce endcap crystals of similar quality than barrel crystals • Could be OK for at least 25% of endcap crystals • They have not yet achieved the rad. hardness specs for the most exposed endcap crystals
