  1. FIRMA DIGITAL Y ELECTRÓNICA UNIVERSIDAD FERMÍN TOROFACULTAD DE CIENCIAS POLÍTICAS Y JURÍDICASESCUELA DE DERECHO La firma digital es la firma con criptografía basada en clave pública. Se hace conn el fin de demostrar al receptor que el mensaje es real y autentico, es por tanto una parte de la firma electrónica. • Criptografía: se ocupa de las técnicas de cifrado o codificado . • Cristología: estudio del sentido oculto de mensajes determinados. • Criptoanálisis: estudio de sistemas criptográficos. • Encriptación: es un procedimiento de seguridad que consiste en la alteración mediante algoritmos de los datos que componen un archivo. La firma electrónica es una expresión genérica y mucho mas amplia, relativa a los datos electrónicos. En un concepto legal tiene el objetivo de dar fe de la voluntad de firmante • DIFERENCIAS: • La firma digital hace referencias criptográficas, la firma electrónica es de naturaleza fundamentalmente legal. • La firma digital también es legal, pero a diferencia de la electrónica, no tiene naturaleza jurídica.
