  3. How does the Census help me? • Resources are allocated to provide your whanau with education, health, housing and transport • If you are not counted your whanau may miss out on vital services • You are missing out on services that belong to you – YOU COUNT!

  4. Northland Under Counted • Estimated at least 3000 people not ever counted • Each person is worth $3000 of population health funding every year • That’s 10 Million dollars we are not allocated from central government every year for healthcare • This does not include funding for other services such as education, transport and roading

  5. How safe is my information? • Personal information is not shared. • No other organisations – including the New Zealand Police, Immigration Service, or Inland Revenue – can obtain information from us that identifies you.

  6. How do I take part? • You can do your forms online or on paper. • Doing your forms online is secure, quick and easy • If everyone in your household does their forms online a collector may not need to call back.

  7. How do I take part? • You can do your forms in English or Māori • Guide notes available • Information leaflet in 22 languages • Helpline languages in Cantonese, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Maori, Samoan and Tongan

  8. Be Counted • Kai Hiwa ra, Kai Hiwa ra (Be aware, Be alert) • Everyone counted is worth $3000 per person, per year to provide health services – potentially 10 million dollars every year to provide the health services you need • Being COUNTED funds services for your future • Being counted benefits you, your tamariki, your kaumatua and Kuia • You are missing out on services if you are not counted • Better health, better education, better roads, better transport for Northland
