9. Hospital institutional care Based on its scope and equipment they are providing outpatient and inpatient primary, specialized or highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic care.
10. Specialized therapeutic institutions They are providing inpatient care for patients with a protracted course of illness which requires special care with a rehabilitation specialist focus.
These institutions (with the exception of long-term care facilities) are usually specialized based on the type of diseases treated (psychiatric institutes, rehabilitation).

First of all, the Ministry of Health manages and controls the execution of state administration in protection of public health and its responsible for designing and implementing national policy concerning protection of public health. It also manages and controls the regional health and hygiene authorities, decides on appeals against the latter, etc.

Municipalities and counties/regions shall ensure the creation of appropriate conditions for the development of social services, in particular identifying the real needs of people and resources to satisfy them and in addition establish themselves organizations providing social services.
