The future • KYT period 2002 - 2005 • planning of a possible future research program/continuation to KYT • background for planning • funding will be around 1M€/a • education need • substance framework • final report of KYT (draft during 2005) • Posiva’s TKS-2003 programme for 2004-2006 + STUK’s review • Posiva’s safety case plan (2005-01) + STUK’s review • Posiva’s process report ( 2004-05) + STUK’s review • what is done elsewhere? • strategy must be selected • whole field or clear priorities? • who has the control (regulators/implementors) ? • research institutes <= funded projects from submitted proposals • planning is underway within the KYT Steering Group • new research programme will be started by KTM in 2006
