WHAT IS PROACTIVE? √ Fix simple hazards - pick up pallet pieces & clean up spills (If you’re qualified to do so) √Report the complex hazards - machine guarding or lockout/tagout issues √Keep your work area neat and clean √Adhere to safety policies
WHAT IS PROACTIVE? √Keep walking and working surfaces free from debris or electrical cords that could create a hazard √ Keep fire extinguishers, electrical panels and exits unblocked √Keep hands out of equipment – use cycle stop
WHAT IS PROACTIVE? √No shortcuts - Don’t rush your work √Always be aware of your environment √Keep lines of communication open √Lead by example √ Coach/Help fellow employees √If in doubt – ASK
