  2. Summary Speaker • Requirements • 1 - 2 minutes speech • Typed • Attention getter, body, conclusion • Summarize the entire chapter • Create a works cited on The Tipping Point • *Insert a video or YouTube link of the summary.

Thought Provoker • Requirements • Find 10 purposeful quotations. • Create a works cited from The Tipping Point and each image source. • Present all 10. • Explain why it is relevant (why did you find it important?). • Explain how it applies to people today. • Connect the quotation to text and to peers today. • Find a visual aid to go with each quotation. • Create a PowerPoint, Prezi, Poster, or Handout

  4. Research and annotation Guide Compare Translation • Find a small portion of the text (minimum: half a paragraph maximum: 2 pages). • Annotate the text. Have a completed annotation before class begins. • Give Ms. Hughes the selection and she will make a copy to provide for the class. • Select a similar case study, product, article, or video. • Create a double bubble map with the class on the board. Ask students for comparisons in the text. • Have an example of a paragraph showing similarities. UseWrite for the Future. • Create a works cited on The Tipping Point and any additional resource.   5. Alternate Assignment • Link to Video and Calvin Terrell • Explain what an epidemic is using The Tipping Point. • How is bullying an epidemic? Use textual evidence to support this. • How can you stop this epidemic? Provide a solution. Either promote the change of context (setting), the change in the law of the few (people), or the stickiness (contagiousness). • Provide a works cited.

  6. Everyone Must • Put ALL THE PROJECT INFORMATION in an email or folder. In the following order: • Cornell Notes • Reading Guide Questions • Presentation Information • Mind Map • MLA Citation • Have a works cited. • Write a quick reflection on the peers in their group. • Be prepared and on time. • Ensure that all technology works ahead of time. AKA, COME INTO ASP TO CHECK YOUR TECHNOLOGY!

Presentation Day • Summary Speaker will go first. • Thought Provoker will share quotes. • Research and Annotation Guide will finish the lesson. • Time: An entire class period! • Date: Friday, at the end of class! • Late: Not an option! • Technology Errors: No excuses.
