  1. How to Use Bilingual Dictionaries Bilingual dictionary is an essential tool for second language learners, but using them correctly requires more than just looking up a word in one language and picking the first translation.

  2. 6.- 1.- If you can, ask a native speaker. Dictionaries do not list every single word. They list the word: noun, adjective and verb.

  3. 2.- 5.- When you want to look up an expression, there are two possibilities: • Look for the first word in the expression. • Look for the most important word in the expression. Check. Look up the word in the new language to see what translations it offers in the original language.
