Robin Natzke Candidate for President (1 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I believe the EWGA mission to connect women to play golf and have fun is right on target. I would like to continue to bring that life in our chapter. I'd like to see everyone raising their hand to volunteer for a small task each season. Our chapter is like a small business - we need to invest a piece of ourselves to make it profitable and we need to sell it every day to everyone we meet. The best way to get things done is laying out a plan - where do we want to go and how do we get there. I think my team leading experiences translates to working well with and for people to accomplish goals and personal development.
Cristine Marik Candidate for Member Services Director (1 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to give back to our great organization and help my fellow members have a great membership experience and take advantage of all that EWGA has to offer. My goals would be to ensure our members (both new and existing) feel welcome in our Chapter, feel connected to other members, have opportunities to get involved and make a difference in our Chapter. Our Member Services Team would provide assistance to new members to help them get started in our Chapter by developing a "buddy" program. As a financial advisor, I am experienced in listening to my clients' needs and believe these skills fit well with the Member Services role.
Liz Tallman Candidate for Member Recruitment Director (2 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I like to play golf - that is what I enjoy doing. I would like to encourage and promote the game of golf for women no matter their skill level.
Sue Miller Candidate for Events & Activities Director (2 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I am an avid golfer and have enjoyed the golf events and competitive events that EWGA offers. Over the past 5 years I have participated in the Chapter Championship for 4 years, and most of the chapter's golf events. In 2011, I organized the chapter's Champions Cup Team which placed second in the EWGA Finals. As Leadership Chair the past two years, I have helped stimulate volunteerism. With the new board structure, developing volunteers and committees will be vital in maintaining quality events for the membership.
Kelly Storm Candidate for Golf Programs & Services Director (1 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I would like to help the chapter continue to provide excellent golf experiences for all of its membership. This can be accomplished through communication to our membership regarding the many opportunities the chapter offers in regards to education, participation in league play, and members using the handicap system. Through word of mouth via site captains and through encouraging more women to participate in golf events that require an established handicap, I believe that this goal can be achieved. I try to go the extra mile to be friendly to all and to encourage all golfers, regardless of golf ability level, to love the game of golf.
Julie Suh Candidate for Finance & Records Director (1 year term) Candidate’s Statement: EWGA has provided me with great benefits over the years; I believe that the best way I can "give back" to the organization is by utilizing my skills and strengths in the position of Director of Finance. I joined EWGA in April of 2004 at a Golf Galaxy Women's Night because I was looking for an opportunity to play more golf and "get serious" about my game. It turned out to be so much more than that!
Stacey Rychiewski Candidate for Marketing Director (2 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I believe to optimize your involvement in an organization; you must be an active member. I have successfully launched Yoga For Me, LLC leveraging my entrepreneurial skills and passion for yoga, fitness and overall well being. My unique and non traditional approach to strategic marketing will catapult our Chapter's recognition with the Chicago Metro golfing community and set the gold standard for National and other Chapters to strive for within their marketing activity. Some of those ideas include: Linking strategies with executable tactics, promote EWGA in at least 100 women's golf locker rooms, secure TV promotion, establish a calendar of social media posts, and other promotional marketing.
Vicky Condell Candidate for Marketing Director (2 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I have been a brand ambassador of the EWGA since joining in 2010. This truly is an organization that provides opportunities to learn, play and connect. Helping shape perception and ‘getting the word out’ about the organization would be an honor. I am passionate about reputation management and feel confident that my experience in communications, media relations, branding and community affairs will bring a well-rounded perspective to the board. I also believe my work as a mentor for several organizations and my experience on advisory boards would be beneficial. It was a privilege to be nominated for the position of marketing director and if elected I will serve to the best of my ability.
Carol Gouty Candidate for Communications Director (1 year term) Candidate’s Statement: I have benefited greatly from being a member of the Chicago Metro Chapter and believe that participating as a Board Member allows me to give back to the organization. In the 5 years that I have been a member of EWGA, I have made a number of new friends and continue to do so each year. Through EWGA connections I became involved in the Kids Golf Foundation, traveled across the US to play golf and cheer on fellow members and improved my golf skills and sportsmanship skills. Some of the connections I made on the golf course carried over into my professional life. The mental aspects of the golf game and the physical activity have added to my work life balance. Giving back as a Board Member or as a volunteer is the least I can do. I have many new ideas regarding communication that I hope to have the opportunity to facilitate in the near future.
