Why are these comparison processes important? Internal Feedback Definition Internal feedback is the new knowledge that you generate when you compare your current knowledge against some reference information (e.g. peers’ answers).
Internal Feedback • Benefits of feedback processes have been shown to derive from the internal understanding of how to bring created work closer to intended goals • External feedback like lecturer comments do not contribute to learning without their proper understanding • Performance improvements are greatest when the internal feedback process is followed by reflection on what has been learned
