Percentage distribution of the total budget (2008-2010) by Autonomous Community DATA Quantitative Study The total budget for the period considered (2008-2010) stands, for all the networks analyzed, at 172.78 million euros. This implies an average annual budget figure of about 57.6 million euros.

  11. Each € invested in a telecentre becomes 1.80€ in terms of Gross Value Added for the territory. (The 172 M € invested in the 11 networks have helped improve the potential economic growth an estimated 0.014% / year). • Investment in Telecentres is equal to: • 95 km road (1 km. road= 1.8 M€) • 4Km high-speed train • Impact in employment: 2.800 employments (78,82% direct employment) CONCLUSSIONS

Telecentres are effective "accelerators" of territorial development because of the potential the offer to the citizens of the territories where they are located, facilitating the appropiation of ICT, and therefore boosting local economic growth based on endogenous resources. • It is necessary to promote the use of the same measure indicators in all telecentre networks, both economic and activity indicators, so that we global, comparable and homogeneous data can be obtained: • Standardize a measurement model to analyze and review the impact in the territories. • Establish monitoring mechanisms to identify good practice. • Design procedures and technical instructions that may collect standardized data of activities. • Assess overall performance strategies for Telecentre Networks to encourage the alignment of networks and joint working. • Design Action Plans that can be incorporated in the territories. • Design specific strategies for telecentre evolution: from digital literacy to effective participation.
