  2. Introduction • Third healing in Mark’s Gospel • First Healing – sickness • Second Healing – disease • Third Healing – infirmities

  3. People of the Land The main characteristics of the people of the land are: • They form the omnipresent background of Yeshua's ministry. • They are identified as sinners and social outcasts. • Though differentiated from the disciples, they are accepted as a part of Yeshua's community.

  4. People of the Land • Unlike the disciples, they are never directly criticized or given special instructions. • They are alienated from the Hebraic leadership and thus largely supportive of Yeshua in his struggle against them. • They are feared by the ruling class, which in the end, can manipulate them against Yeshua.

  5. For Us Today • Jesus healed • Jesus said the Holy Spirit will be with us • Calling upon the Holy Spirit for healing • Prayer for your healing • Get others to pray for your healing • Doctors and medicine is a part of healing • Positive attitude brings healing
