  2. America Then Before 1970, you were treated differently because of the colour of your skin. They had: -Separate Washrooms -Separate Drinking Fountains Darker coloured people were 2nd class citizens. The different skinned people weren’t even aloud to play cards together!

  3. Martin Luther Martin attended Morehouse college and went on to get a degree at Boston University. While in Boston, he met a women called Coretta Scott, he married her in 1953. They had four children.

  4. Civil Rights Leader Although Martin lead a rebellion, he achieved this without physically fighting, he hated it. As he was the leader, he was the main target for angry people who did not want things to change. Some people: -Burnt a cross in front of his house -Threw a bomb into his house!

His name was originally Michael He was almost assassinated nearly a decade before 1968 In the USA, there are over 700 streets named after him At school, he only got a C in public speaking He skipped two years in high school, 9 and 10th He is the youngest man to ever win the Nobel Peace prize
