  2. Introduction • Born in January 15 ,1929 • Died in April 4 ,1968 • His named was Michael Luther King Jr. but later changed his name to Martin

  3. Education • Attended a segregated public school in Georgia • Graduated high school when he was fifteen • He received a B.A degree in 1948 in Morehouse College • Studied theological at Crozer theological Seminary In Pennsylvania

  4. Accomplishments • Lead the civil rights movement in the United States • Nonviolent protest against segregation and racial discrimination. • He became a minister of Dexter Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama

  5. Influenced • Martin Luther king was against discrimination • He made it possible so every kid had the same education • Martin Luther king’s nonviolent doctrine was strongly influenced by the teaching of Indian leader Mohandas Gandhi
