There is a broad range of activities at the University of Stuttgart: • University sports • General Studies courses • A large number of student initiatives • Music: from B for big band to O for orchestra • … The city of Stuttgart – as the capital of Baden-Württemberg – also has a lot to offer.

Beyond Usual Lectures >>>Formula Student 2009 was, again, a very successful year for Stuttgart’s Formula Student Team – and their racing car “0711-4”: The team was awarded the 1st place in the international championships in Italy, the US (Silverstone) and Germany (Hockenheim), thus proving it’s worldwide leadership in Formula Student racing.

  5. Beyond Usual Lectures >>>Oscar for Bridge Building Sandra Timmermann, student at University of Stuttgart, is member of the international team which 2007 was awarded the Mondialogo Student-Award, unofficially known as Engineering-Oscar, for a project on bridge building in Ruanda.

  6. Beyond Usual Lectures >>>Reaching for the Stars Reaching for the stars and for the moon, that‘s what the Study Group "Astronomy" does using the university‘s telescope in Stuttgart-Vaihingen.

  7. Beyond Usual Lectures >>>Wind-driven Against the Wind To drive against the wind can be a challenge when your bike is wind-driven. The students group "InVentus" has successfully faced it. Facilitating the access in Technical Biology with open-minded and communicative attitude. The project group of students of Technical Biology for inter-/national students, career changer, early students and students who were ill for a longer time.
