  6. Proposal to Increase Advising Fee Rate and to Charge all Students the Same • Advising fee was last increased Summer 2006 • Cost analyses to justify fee rates are no longer valid; services are subsidized with E&G budget • Goal to bring Student to Advisor Ratio to 300:1 (currently at 320:1)

  7. Proposal to Increase Advising Fee Rate and to Charge all Students the Same • In addition to cost containment, new funding is required to: • eliminate the subsidy • implement GRIP Solutions: • Career ladder for advisors • Add new advisors • Net estimated requirements = $1,700,000

Proposal to Increase Advising Fee Rate and to Charge all Students the Same • Creating one fee and one rate paid by all students will: • Simplify the fee structure • Provide flexibility for Academic Affairs to manage advising fee budgets and allocate funding to meet critical needs and demands for services • New fee rate to meet estimated incremental revenue requirements = $120 per student
