What is a cell organelle? Organelles are inside cells and they help to make the cell function. Some organelles help brake down protein or help tell what organelle does what.
Nucleus The nucleus is the brain of the cell. It tells the other organelles what they need to do. It also has the DNA of the cell so it knows what type of cell it is. In side the nucleus is the nucleolus. It helps with the protein in the cell.
Cytoplasm Cytoplasm is the liquidly stuff between the organelles. It helps with the orders coming from the nucleus. It is full of protein which floats around ready to be used.
Mitochondria The mitochondria helps produce the energy for the cell to move, separate or just staying alive. There are usually two in a signal cell.
Membrane The cell membrane is the out side of the cell which holds all the organelles in side the cell. It also lets protein in or out and makes sure that nothing can come in that isn’t welcome.
Vacuole A vacuole is a membrane-bound sac that plays roles in intracellular digestion and the release of cellular waste products and are usually small.
Golgi Golgi is the packaging plant that gets the protein ready for distributing around the cell. It stays close to the membrane and is composed of numerous layers forming a sac.
Cytoskeleton The cytoskeleton helps to maintain cell shape and is made of microtubules. It also aids in the movement of materials in and out of the cell.
