Theme and Main Concepts For my final project I have took three movies that are discussed in our book Our Sexuality for my Human Sexuality Class I will talk about these movies and individually and give main points about the movies and then I will compare what they have in common, and also the differences.
American Pie • American Pie is a movie about four High School teenage boys, who are making a pact to see who can lose their virginity first. They all do different things to do this. Jim seeks advice from his father which is awkward. The title of the movie is from Jim being caught masturbating with an apple pie.
American Pie Theme • The theme for American Pie is we all sometimes think we want something so badly, that we will do crazy things to get it. All these teenage boys are saying they want to lose their virginity before the school year is over but in actuality they end up wanting to have relationships, companionship. They all end up becoming very close in the end of all trying to achieve this goal.

Dan in Real Life • Dan in Real Life is a movie about a newly widowed father of young kids. He is a newspaper columnist who is at a low point in his life. He is still trying to deal with being a single father and the loss of his late wife. He ends up taking trip to Rhode Island to visit family when his life get a little bit crazier.
Dan In Real Life Theme • There are many different themes in this movie any where from take your own advice, sometimes it’s the best. Next sometimes we keep some relationships in our lives and lose others nothing is a guarantee. Lastly follow your heart and do what makes you happy.

Brokeback Mountain • Brokeback Mountain is a movie about two cowboy men in Wyoming back in 1963. Were homosexuality was forbidden and still not accepting. Ennis and Jack met in the summer of 1963 while sheepherding. They build a strong sexual bond together. This becomes a love affair through the years of them being married to women
Brokeback Mountain Theme • Brokeback Mountain theme is about two cowboys who are married to women, though they are both homosexual and develop a deep passion and desire and love for each other. This love that they share for each other last throughout years. Homosexuality is not accepted at this day and age and the two men still engage in their love for each other despite this.

Common Factors • Each movies provides a sense of Love, each movie gives us a taste of the love each of these characters have for others and how they want it or how it is expressed in the movies. Next Relationships, this is throughout all three films . Either by not thinking this is what they want, and then desire for. • Or not sure what they want but trust in your own true feelings and things will fall into place. Lastly In each movie there is something that society looks down upon 1).masturbation 2)dating brothers girlfriend. 3)homosexuality.
