  3. Our Mission • Identify ways to cultivate leadership • Develop materials/training/resources • Overall responsibility for summer SMT training • Facilitate new SC Orientation at summer SMT training • Take lead in providing training/input on multicultural outreach

Leader Development • LC in best position to ID potential • What did volunteer do in real life? • Look for positive attitude • Get a toe in the water • Increase involvement as volunteer is willing • One leadership position at a time • Share load and provide growth opportunities • Term Limits – sharing of the load • Training - leaders must plan for succession • Presented by Art Welch, RC, Eastern Region
