The Future Vision Plan is designed to • Simplify Foundation programs and processes consistent with the mission • Support sustainable activities with measurable results • Focus Rotarian service efforts where they will have greatest impact by addressing priority world needs that are relevant to Rotarians • Offer program options to help achieve both global and local goals • Increase the sense of ownership at district and club levels by transferring more decisions to the districts • Increase understanding of The Rotary foundation’s work and enhance Rotary’s public image
Programs common to all • Activities that have not changed are: • PolioPlus. • Rotary Peace Centres. • Funding Programs. • Rotary Foundation awards.
Major changes for the District • Committee Structure. • Grant Structure. • Designated District Grant Bank Account. • Financial Records now externally audited. • All administration associated with The Foundation Office is via Member Access • Establish Administration filing system
Major changes for the District • Training changes • District Grant Management Seminar • Mandatory attendance for Global Grants • Member Access is used for Qualification and Grant applications • Have to report to District and Clubs via an annual report.
District now funds • Ambassadorial Scholars /scholarships • Volunteer Service Grants • GSE • Small projects under with budgets under US$30,000 • Scope of fundable activities under District Grants has widened. More choice.
Change in DDF Funding • District can use up to 50% of the District Designated Funds on District Grants • Minimum of 50% of District Designated Funds must be used for either: • Global Grants. • PolioPlus. • Rotary Peace Centers, (Peace Scholars). • Donate to other Districts.
Funding Cycle remains the same Donations by clubs and individuals to the Annual Programs Fund is invested and returned
Challenges • Improve consultation between clubs and district. • Improve record keeping • Monitoring district grant reports from clubs. • Production of annual report • Trying to replace GSE with Volunteer Training Teams
